1. When Booking

1.1. Are children welcome onboard?

Yes, children of all ages are allowed onboard, however parents should maintain watch and responsibility at all times. There is a children rate applicable for all boats. For Sea Pearl we have a family offer whereby 1 child under 12 sharing with parents cruises for free. Childminding services are not available.

1.2. Is there any discount for groups?
Groups of 6 or more people booking together can receive a 10% discount on the cruise rate, but for Sea Pearl only.
1.3. Do you provide private charters?

Yes, private charters are available upon request. Kindly contact our reservations team for rates and availability.

1.4. Do you offer self-catering or half-board options?
All of our weekly cruises are full board, including 3 meals per day, including water, tea and coffee, plus juice at breakfast. Afternoon tea is also provided. All other drinks are charged and paid at the end of the cruise.
1.5. What are your office hours and opening days?
Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm Seychelles time.
1.6. For solo travellers, can you guarantee that they will share the cabin with the same gender?
If we get a request for sharing it will be for same gender, if paying single supplement, they will receive a cabin just for themselves.
1.7. Do you offer single occupancy?
Single Occupancy for Category A cabins is 50% and for Category B Cabins is 30%.
1.8. Do you accept disabled guests?
Yes, we welcome all guests, but suggest liaising with us first regarding your disability and the suitability with our product.
1.9. Are the cruises suitable for non-swimmers?

Yes, many shore based activities take place, and we provide life jackets and safety rings should you require.

1.10. Do you offer any triple cabins or family cabins?
Yes, these are with one double bed plus 1 extra single bed.
1.11. Do you have any connected cabins?
No, none of our cabins are connected.

2. Pre-flight plans

2.1. Do I require a visa?
Nearly all countries in the world can travel visa free to Seychelles. Before arrival you must download and complete your travel authorization declaration on the Seychelles E-Border APP which is available in your app store.
2.2. Should I prepare my own travel insurance?
Yes, we recommend clients take travel insurance, including medical cover for potential COVID-19 related expenses (isolation, quarantine, and treatment).
2.3. Do you provide shampoo and hairdryers in the cabins?
We do not provide shampoo nor hairdryers in the cabins.
2.4. What electrical sockets are available on board?

Electrical sockets are conveniently located in all guest cabins as well as in the salons. These are 220V power, with European two prong, round pin plugs as below:

2.5. Do you provide beach towels?
Yes, we provide both beach and bath towels.
2.6. Do you provide a recommended packing list?
Yes, prior to your departure we’ll advise you on what is needed on board throughout your cruise. The most important things to remember are Yes, high SPF sunscreen, aftersun, cap, mosquito repellent, comfortable walking shoes for hiking, small cardigan, any medication you are using.

3. Upon arrival in Seychelles

3.1. Where and at what time do we embark on the first day and disembark on the final day?

For all cruises, embarkation is 10.30am and disembarkation 08.30am. We use the Inter-Island Quay for Sea Star and Sea Bird year-round and for Sea Pearl November to April. During May-October for Sea Pearl only, we use Anse Possession, Praslin.

3.2. Do you provide a shuttle service?
Unfortunately, we do not provide any shuttle services however we can organize your transfer from the airport or a hotel at a fee.
3.3. What is the earliest time passengers can check in?

3.4. Can we leave luggage on land whilst on the cruise?
Yes, luggage can be left at our headquarters and collected upon disembarkation.

4. During the cruise

4.1. Is internet access available onboard?

There is no WIFI/Internet available on board. However, guests may purchase a SIM card upon arrival at the airport and load this with data. Cellular (mobile phone) coverage is available almost throughout the whole cruise. Some telecom companies offer roaming with data packages for Seychelles; check with your local provider.

4.2. If friends or family need to contact me during the cruise, can they do so?

Yes, they can do so through our main office or via the boat’s telephone number.

4.3. Am I likely to get sea sick onboard?
Cruising and sailing conditions are favorable in Seychelles at most times of the year. The cruise is designed for everyone to enjoy, most of our guests are first time at sea, it is quite rare that guests become sea sick. if you feel you will easily get sea sick, we recommend bringing sea sickness tablets or bracelets
4.4. How often will we be using the sails?
We will be using the sails on most days of the cruise. However, this will depend on weather conditions and the itinerary, therefore it is at the captain’s discretion.
4.5. What are the weather conditions like?

Temperature range between 27 to 31 degrees Celsius all year round. Situated in the tropics, we may have some local rain on some days of the cruise. This does not usually impact the program and activities. Rainy periods are more frequent mid-December to mid-February. Sea conditions allow for comfortable sailing all year round; wind force will rise during July to September.

4.6. What language is used onboard by the crew?
All our crew speak English. Most crew also speak French and Creole.
4.7. Are the vessels air-conditioned?
Yes, all our vessels are air-conditioned through a centralized system.
4.8. Is there a smoking area onboard?
You may smoke out on the deck, away from other guests.
4.9. How do you embark upon the various islands that we visit?
Apart from the two larger islands of Praslin and La Digue, most of our island visits will require a wet landing in our dinghy. This means climbing out of the dinghy into shallow water and back in again.
4.10. Am I able to purchase things along the way aside from the onboard bar?

For alcohol there will be a corkage fee applied. In terms of souvenirs or other items, you’ll only find stores on Praslin and La Digue. None of the other islands have any shops.

5. Food & drink

5.1. Is there mini bar available in the cabins?

We do not have mini bar in the cabins. However, a bar is available at all times in the salon with open guest access.

5.2. Do you provide water during meals?

We provide table water free of charge. Mineral water is available at an additional charge.

5.3. Do you provide vegan or vegetarian food?
Yes, upon request we can cater for dietary requirements, however we do need to know in advance.
5.4. Can guests bring their own drinks/alcohol on board?

Yes, but there is a corkage fee applicable as per the bars pricelist.

5.5. Can you cater to specific dietary requirements such as celiacs or do you have limitations?

Yes, but we need to know in advance in order to prepare. Food for the whole cruise is prepared in a small kitchen, we don’t recommend joining the cruise if you have severe food allergy which can cause major issues. Please contact us if you’ve any queries.

5.6. Are there any formal dinner occasions to prepare for?
No, all meals on board are very casual affairs, consisting of family style dining.

6. Activities

6.1. Can I do snorkel on the trip?
Yes, snorkeling equipment is available free of charge onboard.
6.2. Are the cruises suitable for snorkelers?
Yes, snorkeling in Seychelles is a wonderful experience.
6.3. Is there any discount for non-divers?
No, diving is an additional cost.
6.4. Do you offer dive courses?
Yes, we do, open water and advanced; the courses should be confirmed prior to arrival in Seychelles, and the theory part should be completed online in advance of the cruise.
6.5. Can I rent dive equipment on board?
Yes, 10 euros per piece per day. We have BCDs, regulators and wet suits. Mask, fins and snorkels are available free of charge.
5.6. Are there any formal dinner occasions to prepare for?
No, all meals on board are very casual affairs, consisting of family style dining.
6.6. How many dives can I make a day?

On average we do 2 dives every day. As well as buying individual dives, we also offer dive packages of 8 or 12 dives in a week’s cruise

6.7. Do you provide nitrox?
No, we do not.
6.8. What size are your dive tanks?
12L with a Yoke international valve connection.
6.9. Are wetsuits available onboard
Yes, 3mm shorties are available. Diving is rarely very deep in Seychelles, so not everyone will require a wetsuit.

7. At the end of your cruise

7.1. How do I pay for onboard expenses?
We accept payment in SCR, USD or EURO, including both cash and major credit cards (VISA and Mastercard). However, we charge 2.5% on credit card payments for bank charges.
7.2. Am I expected to leave a tip at the end of the cruise?
Guests are welcome to leave a tip at the end of the cruise, our crew will highly appreciate it, tips are shared equally amongst the crew members.
7.3. What is the earliest time passengers can check out?
We can do early disembarkation on request if you have early flight – this can be from 5h45 am
7.4. Latest time passengers can check out:
The latest time would be 08h30am.
7.5. Do you offer transfers to the airport or other accommodation?
Transfers can be arranged to the airport or anywhere else on the island at a fee.
7.6. Do you offer any discounts to return on your cruise?
Yes, for repeat customers, we do offer a 20% discount. Please contact our team to book a return visit.
